While the title “Dr. Fisher” once represented pure achievement, the demanding realities of modern hospital medicine—the overflowing plates, the increasing administrative burdens, and the constant pressure to solve every crisis—have complicated that pride. This blog, Dr. Fisher Knows, was born from that shift. It is a necessary outlet to process the challenges and changes in the healthcare system, moving beyond the expectation of the white coat to share candid, expert insight on the issues that affect both physicians and patients today. I leverage my years as a nocturnist to analyze how new clinical data translates to the bedside, such as in my recent review of Dupilumab and the evolving landscape of COPD biologics.
